Helen Silverstein

hourly rate: $100/hour

fixed rate: project dependent

Don’t show anyone your masterpiece before Helen makes sure that it’s ready. Helen will evaluate your story’s strengths and weaknesses on both a macro level looking at story structure and character arcs as well as on a micro level, ensuring that each word is making the best use of its valuable real estate on your page. Helen studied screenwriting at USC, but she also studied poetry—she believes in the power and beauty of every single word. Helen will go over your work line-by-line, word-by-word, and provide detailed notes on how to make your work into the best version of itself. Helen has worked as a reader and content curator for Coverfly, Screencraft, Taleflick, and many other competitions and databases. Recently, she won second place in an international screenwriting competition held by Branches Interactive and then went on to develop that script into a choose-your-own-adventure game. Hire Helen to identify flaws and missed opportunities in your story.
